Cottage Creations’ 36”‘ pattern celebrates the coldest months of the year, at least in the top half of the United States. Not only are cowls warm, but also they are a fashion statement. Depending upon the weather or the temperature of a room, we can wear them long, or, for extra warmth, wrap them twice around our necks.
We are fortunate to be almost overwhelmed with lovely yarn to knit a cowl, yet the patterns beg for innovation—double some stash ?ngering weight, or perhaps combine two yarns to produce your own color variations. Probably the only rule is to knit using a yarn you ’d like next to your skin.
Even though the emphasis in this collection is cowls, most of the patterns are unisex and will knit up into handsome scarves. . . enjoy!
