Louet David 2 Floor Loom
The updated David 70 / 90 is a unique sinking shed loom. Like counter balance or jack loom it has a singular tie-up; the shed, however, gives impression of a countermarch—all harnesses not pulled down by treadle are lifted by an ingenious spring system which results in easy treadling. Once the treadle is pushed down, the weight of the leg is enough to keep the shed open. The friction brake is now standard. And it has a new beater that has the advantages of a standing beater. It has a shuttle race, it is adjustable in height and it stays back, close to the shafts to get the optimal shed. At both sides the beater is guided with special bearings along a stainless steel rod. By adjusting the position of the rods you can adjust the height of the beater. Built in raddle and shelf are included and comes standard with 8 harnesses and 10 treadles. The back beam folds up to save space while loom is idle and allows it to fit easily through any standard door frame. Available in 28" and 36"; pre-assembled; lacquered beech.
