Dew or Water Retted Flax Top—We stock Dew Retted Flax instead of Water retted flax because the Dew Retted Flax is more environmentally friendly. The quality is fairly coarse, long fibers but not too long. Spinning is easy with this combed top and can be used for a variety of projects.
Hemp Top—Hemp is a vegetable fiber, like flax, and is easy to grow, although for a long time it was not allowed to be grown in North America. Our hemp top is very fine, high quality fiber.
White Tensel Top—Tensel is made from wood pulp cellulose, offers a unique combination of the most desirable properties of man made and natural fibers: soft as silk, strong as polyester, cool as linen, warm as wool and as absorbent as cotton.
Fine Mohair Top—This fiber from New Zealand is 27 micron, a beautiful very white fiber.
Bleached Flax Sliver—A combed tow with shorter flax fibers, easy to spin and can be dry spun or wetspun without distaff. 2 - 8 oz bags
